NetGalley and I are Parting Ways

I requested a title from NetGalley, but the file they sent would not work on my Kindle. I reached out to the help desk to ask if another file was available, but alas, no such luck. Instead, they wanted me to install an Adobe program on my computer to be able to read the file. I'm sorry, but I should not have to download programs to read books from NetGalley. So I've decided to part ways with NetGalley even though I know it's not NetGalley's fault, per se, but the author's chosen file. I feel that NetGalley should make sure that their members don't have to download programs just to be able to read a file.

Have any of you had this problem?
